Migrapreneur Fellowship 🚀
Catalysr’s mission is to help migrants overcome barriers to meaningful employment, whether that employment be with an existing company or one that you create for yourself. The objective of the Migrapreneur Fellowship is to give you the foundational knowledge needed to either work in or start a startup. Throughout the Fellowship you will learn about the basics of starting a business in Australia as well as connect with our network of Alumni, Mentors and Industry Professionals.
Once you complete the Fellowship you can use show your affiliation with Catalysr on your LinkedIn or website. You’ll also be a part of our community for life and can continue to participate in our events (both online & in-person), attend our workshops and access our network of Mentors.

Weekly Masterclasses 📓
8 x weekly masterclasses on startup and social enterprise essentials from our expert mentors, startup ecosystem and industry partners. Our curriculum is based on lean startup methodology, and over 8 years of experience in supporting migrant and refugee entrepreneurs like you

During the program you’ll have weekly catchups with your cohort and the Catalysr team. With alumni all over the country we run frequent online workshops as well as in-person meetups across Australia

Migrapreneur Led: There must be at least one first-generation migrant or refugee co-founder in your team, who will participate in the fellowship. A first-generation migrant, in this context, is an individual born outside of Australia.
We also take international students/temporary work visas, but you have to ensure that you meet your visa requirements on working hours etc. In short, permanent residence OR Australian citizenship is not a requirement, but you must be allowed to legally work in Australia.
Idea/Early Stage: You have a business idea that could solve a problem OR you have already started working on a business idea and are still in the very early stages of validation.
Australia based: Currently we are only able to offer places in the Fellowship to applicants based in and building a business in Australia.

Who is a Migrapreneur?
A Migrapreneur is a migrant or refugee entrepreneur.
To be eligible for the program, there must be at least one first-generation migrant or refugee co-founder in your team, who will participate in the pre-accelerator program. A first-generation migrant, in this context, is an individual born outside of Australia.
Permanent residence OR Australian citizenship is not a requirement, but you must be allowed to legally work in Australia.
Can I apply if I’m an international student?Our program accepts international students/temporary work visas, but you have to ensure that you meet your visa requirements on working hours etc.
Can I be a solo founder? Do I have to have a team?We accept applications from solo founders as well as teams.
What if English is not my first language?We accept applications from people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. However, as our program is delivered in English, we can only accept applicants who can understand and communicate in English at a proficient level.
What is the cost of participating in the fellowships?
Our fellowships have been highly subsidised due to the generous support of our partners and we currently charge $275 per startup (incl. GST). If you have multiple founders, they can all participate on the same fee.
Why do you charge for the fellowships?
We want you to have skin in the game and know that everyone else in the cohort is just as committed as you are.
What if I can’t afford to pay for the fellowships?
If you are facing financial hardship, we have scholarships available.
How can I apply for a scholarship?
At the end of the application form, please select ‘yes’ to the question “Are you applying for a scholarship?” and then provide your reasons for application. There is no separate application for scholarship

Migrapreneur Social Impact Fellowship 🙌🏻
It is an 8 week program for migrants and refugees in Australia who want to learn about the social enterprise/not for profit ecosystem in Australia, how to launch their own organisation or find a job at one.
Throughout this Fellowship you will learn about the basics of starting a social enterprise/not-for-profit in Australia as well as connect with our network of Alumni, Mentors and Industry Professionals.
Program Dates: 26th June - 14th August 2024
Application Deadline: 5pm (AEST), 9th June 2024
Decision Notification: Applicants will be advised of the outcome on a rolling basis. Please don’t wait for the deadline and apply early to avoid missing out!
Onboarding Session: 26th June, 6pm (AEST) on Zoom.
Wrap Up Session: 14th August, 6pm (AEST) on Zoom.
Migrapreneur Startup Fellowship 👩🏾💻
It is an 8 week program for migrants and refugees in Australia who want to learn about learn about the tech startup ecosystem in Australia, how to launch their own startup or find a job at a startup.
Throughout the Fellowship you will learn about the basics of starting a business in Australia as well as connect with our network of Alumni, Mentors and Industry Professionals.
Program Dates: 17th April - 5th June 2024
Application Deadline: 5pm (AEST), 14th April 2024
