2019 G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Alliance
Applications closing soon! DDL: 18th April - 5:00pm (AEST)
The G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20 YEA) is a collective of organisations across the G20 countries that work to promote and advance entrepreneurship. Alliance members represent more than 500,000 young entrepreneurs and Catalysr, is proud to be the official Australian member, taking over from the Foundation for Young Australians (FYA). Additional information on the Alliance can be found at www.g20yea.com.
Following the overwhelming success of the inaugural G20 Young Entrepreneur Summit (G20 YES) which took place in 2010 in Toronto, member countries agreed to form a new collective of leading entrepreneurially-minded organisations representing the G20 countries.
The Alliance was founded as a movement to engage the G20 leaders in the cause of youth entrepreneurship, share information across borders, affect positive policy change and create a global network of young entrepreneur advocates while building a collaborative entrepreneurial environment worldwide.
how does it work?
Each year, the G20 YEA brings together hundreds of the world’s top young entrepreneurs and key knowledge partners at an international Summit to share ideas and catalyse global change. At this Summit, the Alliance issues a communiqué that is a call to action for G20 governments to focus upon entrepreneurship as a driver of economic growth, innovation and social change. Read the 2018 communique here.
The G20 YEA then works throughout the year to get the communiqué recommendations on the radar of G20 and B20 leaders (the G20 YEA is proud to be an official networking partner of the B20) and to share these recommendations widely within their countries.
